5 Search It! Best Anime Gunner Characters

Hehehe, I even dunno why I can make this topic, I have seen Mana Tatsumiya with her gun, and suddenly I have some impression with gunners character in anime, there are a lot of gunners in anime, but let us see who are the most rated ever.

1. Genjo Sanzo/玄奘三蔵 (Saiyuki Reload)

Classification: Monk/Priest (Beh, he called himself as a priest, Oh my.. you can't see from any sight, but he is totally charming, teeheeeheee...)

Skill and Weapons:

Sanzo has two main weapons that he uses periodically; those being his Maten Sutra and the gun he's carried with him since he first became a Sanzo priest. He hardly ever fights without his gun and the Sutra on his shoulders, and is seen as a very formidable foe when forced to fight. 

Banishing Gun: The "first " revolver in the Saiyuki Anime Saga was a ficticious "break-top" that resembled a stainless Webley. The "second" and final revolver was clearly a stainless steel S&W M36 or "Chief Special", a lightweight 5 shot .38 special with a 2 inch barrel.

A five-shot Smith and Wesson revolver that Sanzo uses in most of his battles. He is an expert marksman, and rarely misses a target. Sanzo's gun has most likely been modified - due to his priestly activities - and has been called [in the anime] a 'banishing gun.' (The word used for it, shoreijuu, literally means "rising/fleeing spirit gun".) This gun has the ability to quiet angry spirits and kill yokai. It can also destroy cursed objects, such as the yokai armor from episode 25 of Gensomaden Saiyuki. It can also shoot through seals and magic. No other character's weapon can perform any of these feats.  

Maten Sutra:

Translated as the 'scripture of darkness' it is the Sutra that Genjyo Sanzo carries. All Sanzo are required to protect one of the five Sutras. Most of the time, it sits on Sanzo's shoulders, and it is mentioned in passing. Kougaiji has tried many times to take the Sutra but has failed. It has been said that with the five Sutras collected, Gyumaoh can be resurrected.

In order to use the scripture he has to say a chant, ending in the command Makai Tenjo, at which point, the scripture is activated. The only time Sanzo really uses the Sutra is when he can't use his gun or Goku's diadem has been broken/removed. He is the only character so far to be able to reconstruct Goku's diadem, besides the gods. He is also somewhat of a match to the Sage; as seen when he fights him in the anime. It is speculated this is due to him retaining some of his godlike power from his previous incarnation as Kouzen Doji. 

Anyway readers, this priest is a bit insane, he is smoking, drinks a lot of alcoholic and also killing without mercy. But, he is kawaii~ I can say he is also bishounen, teheeehee..

2. Train Heartnet (Black Cat)

Classification:  XIII Chronos member

Skill & Power:  

Marksmanship: Train wields Hades, an ornate 6 shot black revolver made out of Orichalcum with an XIII engraved into its side and a lanyard (which could be from Saya's gun) it weighs 2.5 kg. He is an extremely skilled marksman, able to accurately shoot down bullets from other guns, and make a number of bullets hit at exactly the same time as well as ricochet bullets off of multiple surfaces and effictivley hit a target. He is also ambidextrous.

Train Heartnet

Black Claw: He shoots a number of bullets while in the air to accelerate him into a spinning slash, "Black Claw", that leaves four large slash marks.

Burst Bullet: Train uses specialty bullets created by Sven, including the Burst Bullet, which produces an extremely large amount of damage, bullets that can freeze opponents, and bullets

that paralyze opponents.

Railgun: When his body became infected with nanomachines he manages to manipulate them to create static electricity. The orichalcum in his gun Hades can act as a catalyst for the nanomachines.This allows him to focus the electricity into the barrel of Hades, turning it into a railgun. He is able to fire three of these daily, due to the energy consumption it takes to create the electricity. Train loses this ability after using it against Creed in their final battle. Train is also able to use Sven's specially made bullets with the Railgun, as shown when he uses the Railgun to fire a Burst Bullet.

Vision: Train possesses 20/20 vision in both eyes, which enables him the vision six times that of a normal human.

3. Mana Tatsumiya (Mahou Sensei Negima)

Classification: Gunslinger/Mercenary/Shinto priestess/Half demon

Powers and Abilities: High reaction speed and reflexes, superhuman agility, extremely skilled in using guns (can make bullets bounce off corners to tag concealed people and when anticipating the moves of people with super speed, can snipe people kilometers away from her accurately, can shoot people who use instant movement accurately, can shoot at multiple targets in multiple directions without almost looking at them, can shoot bullets in mid-air, etc), demon eyes which allows her to detect ghosts, can use "ki" based attacks and perceive ki in others, can distinguish real bodies from lifelike shadow ki clones, teleportation using magic charms, time/space, anti-barrier, exorcism, tranquilizer/poisonous bullets, etc. Sometimes she shots her own friends without any doubt and regret, so everything is about you are being paid or not, anyway she also has a bad love story.

Even she ever shots somebody in class, duh

Weaknesses: She'll only fight if paid

Destructive Capacity: Building level+, her bullets can damage characters with much tougher durability (At least multi-city block level+ to Town level)

Range: Several kilometers

One of the character in Negima series, frankly speaking, she is hot eegh..  She even ever became volunteer in Timor-timor war, and she loves money. You can see, if she does not being paid, she will not fight. She learns some Chinese martial arts also.

 4. Vash The Stampede (Trigun)

Classification: marksman

Skill and Ability: Vash has shown a superhuman level of agility, strength, reflexes, eyesight and complete muscle control. In episodes of the anime, Vash has often shown the ability to dodge bullets at close range and dodge skilled melee attacks (at one point doing so while at the same time pretending to dance with a woman). During a gun duel competition, Vash was able to prevent the deaths of many of the competitors by throwing rocks at key moments to knock bullets off their lethal courses. Vash is possibly stronger than most human beings as seen when he was able to use Wolfwood's Punisher (although he did comment on its weight). Finally, his intelligence is stated to be superior to that of most (if not all) humans. In the anime it is shown that he is capable of telepathic communication with his brother, though whether or not he possesses Knives' telekinetic capabilities remains uncertain. 

Personality:

Vash the Stampede is a very lighthearted, expert marksman that tries to promote love and peace as he personally said in several episodes. He appears to be a very merry person that dislikes seriousness, but is actually very deep and serious as can be seen in the situations he finds himself in. He usually presents a smiling façade, which Wolfwood is prone to call a "false smile." Beneath this smile lies a lot of pain and the burdens that Vash has chosen to carry. Also known as The Humanoid Typhoon, he is a wandering gunman with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head. Every town he passes through either labels him "an act of God" or "a human disaster." Vash also called as  "The $$60,000,000,000 Man".

Well, even the manga was created in 1998, the anime was released in 2010, so still new product. I never watch this, but seems like a good anime for boys, teeheeeheee...

5. Yukio Okumura (Blue exorcist/ Ao no exorcist)

Classification: Dragoon/Doctor/Tamer/Half-demon

 Yukio Okumura is Rin (main character of blue exorcist)'s younger twin brother. A straight arrow and kind-hearted by nature, his goal is to become a doctor. Unbeknownst to his brother, he is a brilliant exorcist - the youngest in history - in short, a genius. His abilities are gradually unveiled during his time at the Exorcism Cram School. 

Yukio has brown hair and turquoise eyes. He also has three moles on his face and wears glasses (that's why Rin calls him Spotty-four eyes). In the first episode, Yukio wears a plain shirt with a beige cardigan. Later on in the episodes, Yukio has an exorcist coat that he wears over a white dress shirt and black dress pants. Over his coat he has a leather pallet of bullets and his guns. He has black leather shoes. and black socks. In his left breast pocket of the coat, He has a Knights Pendant. Colors of blue, red, and silver. He has two M1911A1 pistols, both black with a glossy wood side cover on handle, and the True Cross insignia engraved into the slide. His height is 180 cm (6' 0"). 

Skill and power: 

Yukio & Rin (Children ages)

Yukio is an extraordinary Exorcist, graduating at the True Cross Academy before becoming the next teacher in Demon Pharmaceuticals. Despite being one of the fraternal twins of Satan, Yukio did not inherit the blue flames. However he did aquire his mashou ("Spirit Wound") from his brother Rin at birth. Being trained and raised at the age of 7 by Shiro Fujimoto, a former Paladin, Yukio was able to graduate at the academy at age 13, then becoming one of it's teachers 2 years later. This made him the youngest exorcist and teacher ever.

Doctor: As one of the youngest doctors in the True Cross Order, Yukio's medical abilities are top notch. He was able to treat Noriko Paku after being injured by a Naberius that Igor Neuhaus summoned, after being treated by Shiemi. In the manga, during the theft of the left eye of the Impure King, he cured a child named Satoru by inserting needles into the miasmatic boils on his body without rupturing the membranes of the cells, demonstrating his advanced knowledge of cellular biology- this is made further impressive as at the time, Yukio was also infected by the miasma while left reeling by the words of a possessed Saburota Todo. When he and his brother were young, he would treat Rin's injuries when ever he came home after getting into a fight. 

Dragoon: Yukio's second and offensive meister is Dragoon, a gunslinger. Yukio can shoot his targets with impressive accuracy, all the while mainting a calm and even disposition. He has demonstrated the ability to shoot demons behind his back without looking at them, as well as destroying giant demons with his hand guns. Yukio's weapons of choice are Dual Handguns (he may have skill in wielding other fire arms) that may have been modified for rapid fire. He is able to keep up with Shura, an Exorcist 2 Ranks above him, in a combat simulation test. Yukio also has some knowledge of the fighting elemental demons, as shown when he fought a fire demon using water-attributed bullets. 

Tamer: Although Yukio doesn't have a title as Tamer, it has been shown that he can summon multiple water Naiad's and also perform a Water Dungeon spell with them. However, Yukio's lack of stamina in summoning demons makes it difficult to maintain the summoning for long periods of time. Saburōta notes that this is the first time Yukio has summoned. 

Half form demon: He is shown to have demonic powers in him later in the anime, allowing Satan to possess him without any danger as a perfect vessel. He also is shown to have blue flames like Rin and his blood is that of a demon's.
